Julie Payne is an acclaimed musician, oboist and orchestral animateur/creative workshop leader. She divides her time between playing in orchestras and ensembles, and delivering music education projects for various orchestras and organisations. Her oboe playing has taken her around the world - Germany, Italy, America and Ghana to name a few places - and has led her to work in most major venues across the UK as well. She studied at the Royal Northern College of Music and won all available prizes for oboe playing and orchestral wind playing whilst there. Her music education work takes her into a variety of situations and allows her to work with a diverse range of people - aging from 6 - 96 and venues including schools, hospitals, elderly care homes and special needs centres. When she's not running creative music projects or playing the oboe, she is currently studying for an MA in Community Music and extending her career in all sorts of directions. |
